MEET OUR MATERIALS AND SUPPLIERS

For us, it’s plain and simple: it’s our responsibility to make clothes without harming the earth.

From origin to the final stitch, we create each garment using beautiful, quality fabrics that are sustainable and only work with suppliers who share our standards. Each piece is fully traceable, meaning we’re able to locate the cotton back to the farm where it was grown.

Discovery Knitting:

Discovery Knitting is a high-end boutique knitting mill who have been creating British knitted fabrics since 1986. They source their GOTS standard organic cotton directly from India, it’s then spun in Italy and finally knitted and dyed in their mill located in Leicester, Great Britain.

What they knit for us:

- Our GOTS organic cotton single knit jersey
- Our GOTS organic cotton fleece
- Our 50% GOTS organic cotton, 50% Modal blend (coming in later this year, will be used for new styles)

Organic Textile Company:

Wife and husband team, Ann and Phil, have been selling fabric for over 30 years. After becoming aware of the effect of cotton farming and pesticides in third world countries, they began the Organic Textile Company. They support and work closely with their farmers and weavers in India, Turkey and China, allowing them to farm organically by paying premium prices so they can live a healthy life with their families without relying on pesticides.

What they make for us:

- Our stripped GOTS organic cotton fleece
- OEKO-TEX bamboo drape
- OEKO-TEX bamboo / GOTS organic cotton jersey

YKK PET zipper:

We source our zippers for our trousers from YKK, a Japanese company giving PET bottles a second life as a zipper. Both zipper chain and slider are made from recycled materials and unlike most zippers that are made from metals and other materials, the zipper can be broken down and recycled again.

              fROM OUR HANDS TO YOURS.

Our entire collection is designed in-house and ethically handmade in the United Kingdom. There is no outsourcing or mass production here and we intend to keep it this way.

It’s our responsibility to ensure every single person who’s involved in the creation of our garments is treated fairly. Ethical practice is in our DNA, and we truly do care about every stage of our production and supply chain.

From the plant to our own studio, we know exactly what’s going on. That’s how we’re able to show you as the buyer that there are real human hands and people behind the clothes you wear.

We only work with suppliers who embody the same values we live by. We won’t settle for anything less. Ever.

MEET OUR SUPPLIERS

              NOBODY'S PERFECT.

We sure are trying our darnedest, but like most things in life, we have our flaws. While we’re doing everything we can in our power to be the best we can be, there are a few obstacles we have yet to defeat (but, oh boy, are we persisting). Because of our size, there are limitations. Our elastic is not yet sustainably sourced and our care and size labels are not biodegradable. We’re not able to buy as sustainably as we’d like to and we’re not yet at the stage where we’re able to develop our own resources. However, we are working on this.

There isn’t an option to turn back for us. Like we say, we stick to our word and as soon as we’ve grown to a size where we’re able to, we will either source or develop our own.

If you’re reading this and can help, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Every word of advice and feedback never goes unheard and is greatly appreciated. Plus, it’s better to join forces and change the world together, right?
